This Privacy Policy explains how Bhrosa Cab ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application "Bhrosa Cab, Auto, Bike" (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Full name — collected during registration to identify you on rides and receipts.
Email address — collected during registration for account recovery, receipts, and important account notifications.
Aadhaar number — collected for identity verification (KYC) to prevent fraud and ensure rider safety. We collect only the Aadhaar number you voluntarily provide; we do not authenticate against the UIDAI database without your explicit consent.
Photograph of your Aadhaar card — uploaded by you during registration as proof of identity. We recommend masking the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number on the image before uploading, in line with UIDAI guidance.
Your photograph (selfie) — captured during registration and used to match your face to your Aadhaar photo for identity verification.
Profile details — your display name and optional profile photo.
Saved places — addresses you save as Home, Work, or other favorites.
Trip details — pickup and drop locations, ride type, and trip preferences.
Customer support communications — messages you send to our support team.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Precise location data — collected only when the App is in use, to set your pickup location, show nearby vehicles, calculate fares, and provide live ride tracking.
Device information — device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and unique device identifiers.
Usage data — actions you take within the App, screens visited, features used, and crash reports.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account
Match you with nearby drivers and facilitate rides
Calculate fares, process payments, and issue receipts
Provide live ride tracking and trip safety features (including the trip-start OTP)
Provide customer support and respond to your queries
Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
Improve the App, fix bugs, and develop new features
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. Device Permissions
The App requests the following permissions. You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in your device settings.
Permission
Why we need it

To capture your selfie and (optionally) a photo of your Aadhaar card during identity verification, and to take a profile photo.

We do not collect background location. Bhrosa Cab only reads your location while the App is open and visible on your screen.
4. Identity Verification (Aadhaar KYC)
To create a safer ride-hailing platform and reduce fraud, impersonation, and abuse, Bhrosa Cab verifies the identity of every rider during registration using Aadhaar — India's national identity document.
4.1 What We Collect for KYC
Your Aadhaar number, as entered by you
A photograph of your Aadhaar card, uploaded by you
A selfie, captured live through the App
4.2 How We Use This Information
To confirm that the name and photograph on your Aadhaar match the selfie you provide
To prevent the same Aadhaar from being used to create multiple fraudulent accounts
To comply with applicable Indian laws relating to ride-hailing, passenger transport, and anti-fraud requirements
To cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation of crimes that occur during rides, where lawfully required
4.3 Your Consent
You provide your Aadhaar information voluntarily. By submitting it, you give us explicit consent to collect, store, and use it for the purposes described above. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account (see Section 9), after which your Aadhaar information will be deleted in accordance with our retention policy.
4.4 How We Protect Your Aadhaar Data
Aadhaar photos and numbers are encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest on our servers.
Access is restricted to a small set of authorized personnel for verification and fraud investigation only.
We do not share your Aadhaar number or Aadhaar image with drivers, advertisers, or other riders.
We do not use your Aadhaar data for profiling, advertising, or any purpose other than identity verification and legal compliance.
You can choose to mask the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar number on the photograph before uploading. Bhrosa Cab supports masked Aadhaar in line with UIDAI's guidelines.
Important: Bhrosa Cab is not a UIDAI-authorized Authentication User Agency (AUA) or KYC User Agency (KUA). We do not perform Aadhaar authentication against the UIDAI database. The verification we perform is a visual document and face match conducted on the data you voluntarily provide.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share information only in the limited circumstances described below. We do not sell your personal information.
4.1 With Drivers
When you book a ride, we share your pickup location, drop location, name, and phone number (via a masked number where available) with the assigned driver so they can complete the trip.
